Rep. Scavello: Argall Understands Issues, Fights for Region

STROUDSBURG—State Representative Mario Scavello (R-Monroe) today threw his support behind Senator Dave Argall in his re-election to the State Senate. Scavello, who is working with Argall on eliminating the archaic school district property tax system, said Argall understands the issues and is a leader in the Senate for the Pocono area.
“Senator Argall understands the burden of the school district property taxes, especially how it’s affected the residents of Monroe County,” said Scavello. “If we want to have a leader in the Senate on reducing government spending as well as fighting for the elimination of the crushing property tax, we need to send Dave Argall back to Harrisburg to fight for us and our values.”

I applaud his leadership efforts in ensuring school district funding must be fair, especially given the current circumstances many homeowners in Monroe County and folks throughout the Pocono region are facing. Property taxes are simply unfair and I will continue fighting to bring those issues to light and offer solutions to fix the archaic way we currently fund our public schools.”
